A much needed update....

Well it has been a long time since I have posted anything here so an update first. Where to begin… Last year I ran several rallies including the Iron Butt Rally (11 days) which I ended up 40th overall. This year I will run several more one day rallies including the multi-day ButtLite 7 (6 days). I did the ButtLite 6 in 2012 as my first rally every. I was in way over my head but I needed the experience for the Iron Butt Rally last year. In March of this year, the wife and I rode down to the annual IBA Jax party on the Goldwing. The next day we did the Southern Swing 1,000 and it was her first certified ride so she is now a member of the IBA. We had a day off the bike and then rode home the next day. She did great and says she is ready for some more long(er) distance riding. Perhaps a SS2K or a BBG or a BBG within a SS2K or a BBG within a SS2K Gold. I am now prepping for the Cape Fear Rally. I will leave Tidewater on Thursday (4/24) and ride to Rochester, NY to spend the night with my friend Rick G. We will then leave his place on Friday morning (4/25) and ride to the start of the Cape Fear in Naples, NY (about an hour south of Rochester). The CF Rally official starts at 1000 and ends Saturday afternoon in Wilmington, NC. At this point I have no idea what I will be visiting in between those two points. I have a room at the host hotel for Saturday night and Rick will share it with me. I will head home Sunday morning (4/27). Now just waiting for the Rally Pack so I can start planning my route.
