A blog dedicated to my interest in long distance motorcycle riding.
Where's Gregg?
On most, if not all, of my long-distance rides, I carry a SPOT GPS tracker. When on and tracking it will update a Google Map every 10 minutes with my location. These two links will take you to the tracking page. Regular (long) Spot URL or the (short) TinyURL version.
Hello, I’m Johnny Cash… No, not really. My name is Gregg Lenentine and I reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I set up this blog ostensibly to discuss long distance motorcycle riding and as a place to post my thoughts, plans, and completed long distance rides. I am not very dedicated to this blogging thing so there are gaps in time (big ones). I guess I just don’t feel like my prattling is of any use to anybody. However, if I am wrong, I hope you find something beneficial here and that will help you with your planning.
Gregg, You caught me off gaurd, Thought you'd be headed east. Well, most people go to Alaska for the "HALIBUT", guess yoy're going for the "HELLOFIT"! Enjoy yourself and have a safe ride. Don't push it. Will keep tracking. Jim W. HROT
final comment -"it is not the destination ........ it is the journey" my dearest husband i am so proud of you ,a most amazing person you are,i admire your determination and courage ,you are and always will be "the best part of my life"
Hi Gregg, we are keeping track - watching, watching till our eyes start to blus. It sure does look lonely but you are getting closer to the end of your journey (now you have to come home-please don't stay in AK). Gregg we have history of your determination and spirit but you have reassured us that you still have it. I can't imagine the amount of stamina it takes to do what you have done. I know you were disappointed that you didn't make the time line but am glad, for your sake, that you did go the last mile. We love you so much.
Greg, Glad to hear that you're 'going for it', Even though you're worn out and ready to sleep in your bed again, I think you would have always said "I should have pressed on to Hyder". Stay safe above all else, and I'd love to talk with you at some point about your experiences. I'm planning a 50 CC, which must seem like nothing to you at this point. Gregg, Your tracker is showing you in the boonies about 3 1/2 hours out of Hyder but no movement in over 13 hours, whats up? Hope everything is O.K. Let me know something. Jim W. HROT

It's nice to read that you kept the Hyder destination - it's a great accomplishment
